The excursion begins 25 km from Bariloche and crosses the Nahuel Huapi Lake to Brazo Tristeza. Scenery resembles Scandinavian Fjords, with steep cliffs surrounding the narrow arm of the lake. The first day includes 14 km of paddling, past mountain streams and native forests, ending on the shores of the lake to set up camp. The next day starts with a short hike through the humid forest in the foothills of the Andes Mountains.
